Stanley Unwin
There aren't too many comedy letter U entries, there certainly aren't too many people in the history of comedy like Stanley Unwin. I've often heard of people referring to comedians having their own voice or style, Unwin went one step further and had his own language.
Forever immortalized on The Small Faces album Ogden's Nut Gone Flake, Unwin employed his "Unwinese" on the album, notably with the track Happiness Stan.
He made TV and film appearances galore, notable films include the fifth Carry On, Regardless and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
His uniqueness led to many TV commercial appearances, even Alan Sugar used him for this early word processor ad
and I insist you listen to Goldiloppers and The Three Bearloaders.
Stanley Unwin was born in South Africa in 1911 and died in 2002.
Thanks for ready, hopely muchy deepjoy manifold.
